NSW:Firies testing gets O'Farrell's support

NSW Premier BARRY O'FARRELL has given his tentative support for plans to random drug
test firefighters, saying he backs any moves to improve public services.

The Fire Brigade Employees' Union has lashed out at a Fire and Rescue NSW draft policy
for alcohol and drug testing of the state's seven thousand firefighters, saying it'll
be an invasion of privacy and a waste of money.

But Mr O'FARRELL says he'll always back those who seek to get better outcomes from
our public services.
